Consumable Content

My relationship to the internet and social media has always been kind of a weird thing. I never feel like anything I have to say is worth eating up peoples’ time with, but then I admonish myself because it’s not my place to decide for people what they want to use their time for. It should be their choice to find and consume my content, whether they gain enjoyment from it or some other feeling from it — that momentary diversion is my “job” as a writer.

I keep telling myself I need to make more content, I need to post more, but then I go down the rabbit hole of “What do I even have to talk about?” Video games? Life as a disabled adult in the United States? I almost wish I had the fortitude of Twitch Streamers and Tiktokkers who pump out daily content and slather the internet with the minutiae of their lives without a second thought. They just vomit up whatever comes to mind and I find myself struggling to do that, because I want to host content that people want and enjoy. I just don’t know what that is.

So what are you interested in, Dear Reader? What kind of content keeps you coming back for more?
