[RE] Roleplay Recap: Week 4

Lafiel

Last week saw a bunch of small meetups between my ladies and various friends. Lafiel met with Zerey Zeyad a number of times to discuss the matters with his Clan in Doma; she also chanced briefly across an injured Mesa Kha to fret over her. There were visits with Morgan Parnass and the latest addition, Zenobia Ishikawa, a Highlander shinobi she chanced across with Zerey in Kugane. There was also tea with Pau Monteraux where she simply got to know the man aside from his various errands across Eorzea.

There was also a dinner in the desert with Koh’li Nbolo where they spent time just companionably catching up with each other. Later that night, however, she had a long heart-to-heart talk with Zerey about his motives behind leading the rebellion of his Clan against their oppressors. She learned much of the surly, young Doman and came to realize that there was more to him than meets the eye. There was heart, and courage, and selflessness. It gave her all the more desire to help him in his struggle.

She simply had to build a name for herself in Kugane first.

Katja

Katja went out to the Vanguard Company’s tavern this week, along with her best friend, Valeria Camena. They were meeting with Zerey to discuss something rather serious with him — he was garnering more aid for his fight in Doma. However, Katja, being the practical hot-head that she was, needled Zerey’s plans and raked them over the coals, because there was a LOT of information missing. Certainly not enough information for the little firecatte to put her life on the line for him. Her reasons were supported by Valeria, but despite the lack of information, despite the overwhelming odds, Valeria agreed to help him anyway.

Incensed that Valeria would sign herself on to a losing cause — and by extension now worried that Valeria would get hurt, ransomed, or killed — Katja became very upset. She left in a huff, but not before pointing out to Valeria that the hyur had promised her a fun, easy-going tour in Doma, free of stress and trouble, yet here she was seeking out trouble just because Zerey, her ex-boyfriend, came along. She didn’t really mean it, of course, as Katja often didn’t. Her anger and her lashing out stemmed largely from her worries.

Worries that she shared with T’Shira Rihll once they left the tavern. T’Shira did her best to console her friend which consoled Katja for the time being. It also resolved the miqo’te to still help Valeria, because her friend mattered to her more than fun or vacations.

That’s it for this week! Hopefully you’re enjoying coming along for the ride with these snippets of my character’s lives and adventures. We’ll see you next time!
