Infinity Nikki: Stylist’s Corner #1

I’ve been playing a lot of Infinity Nikki lately because who doesn’t love playing dress-up and putting together pretty outfits? I’ve really enjoyed it for some casual, cozy adventuring fun that has limited combat and what little combat there is isn’t all that difficult. (Well, except for that one cavern where I got stuck in a death-loop until I ran out of hearts…)

Nikki is beautiful game to just run around taking screenshots in, even without having a daily quest that asks you to take one photo each day. There’s a photographer’s log that challenges you to find different specific locations for your log book that shows you a bunch of neat places to capture great images of your Stylist.

The only thing I don’t care for, which is the same problem I have with a lot of these gacha-style games, is that there are so many systems of upgrading both your Stylist’s abilities and their outfits that it’s easy to forget how to find them when you need them. I find myself frequently having to Google how to upgrade my outfits or my eurekas.

There’s plenty to do in Nikki; a wealth of quests, bling and other currencies to find, caverns to delve, or instances to run. The story itself thus far is an interesting little mystery that has me curious to learn more, but not to the point that I’m blasting through the main story at break-neck speed. I’m still enjoying the side quests and exploring the world, chasing Whimstars, and gathering materials for outfits.

All-in-all, I’ve enjoyed my adventures in Miraland and find myself continually going back for more whenever my other games fail to snag my interest. So, if you like and enjoy collecting, don’t mind the randomness of gacha pulls, and want some good clean fun without a whole lot of pressure, then I highly recommend giving Nikki a try!

Until next time, gamers!
